Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments that involve the application of a medical grade solution to the skin, which exfoliates and gradually peels off the top layers.

What will I experience during the procedure?

We begin with a cleanser specially selected for your skin type and then apply a topical numbing cream for 30 minutes to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. 

Next, we’ll apply a gel to help the SkinPen glide smoothly as it creates tiny pinpricks on your skin. There’s no need to worry—most clients describe the sensation as a gentle vibration rather than pain. Your cosmetic nurse will check in with you regularly to ensure your comfort throughout the process.

To complete the treatment, we’ll massage a personalized blend of active skincare ingredients into your skin, finishing with a soothing, non-irritating sunscreen—an essential step for protection.

After the treatment, your skin may feel sensitive and appear red, so please keep this in mind for your plans. It’s normal for your skin to feel dry as it readjusts, but within just one day, you can typically conceal any mild side effects and resume your regular routine.

What are post-procedure expectations & aftercare?

After your SkinPen treatment, following proper aftercare is essential to enhance results and support your skin's healing process. Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it with unwashed hands. For the first few days, use a gentle cleanser and apply a recommended post-treatment moisturizer to maintain hydration.

Sun protection is critical—apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to shield your treated skin from UV damage. We recommend Synergie Skin UberZinc which can be purchases at your appointment.

Additionally, avoid harsh skincare products, makeup, and strenuous activities that could irritate the skin.
