PRP for Hair Loss: A Natural Approach

PRP hair therapy draws on the science of wound healing and tissue regeneration. A small blood sample is centrifuged to separate and concentrate the platelets, the cells responsible for initiating the body's repair processes. The resulting platelet-rich plasma is then administered to the scalp, where the growth factors it contains help to reinvigorate hair follicles that are underperforming or dormant.

Candidacy and Results

PRP is most effective when hair follicles are still active, meaning the sooner treatment begins, the better the likely outcome. People with very long-standing, complete hair loss in an area are unlikely to benefit. At your consultation, we will assess the condition of your scalp and hair and give you an honest appraisal of what PRP is likely to achieve in your situation. Where PRP may not be the most appropriate primary treatment, we can recommend alternatives or complementary options.
